De aceea este util studiul strategiilor de marketing folosite de aceste firme. Abordarea acestei teme este interdisciplinar\u0103, \u00eentruc\u00e2t folose\u015fte concepte, principii \u015fi teorii at\u00e2t din zona marketingului, c\u00e2t \u015fi a managementului strategic, antreprenoriatului \u015fi a psihologiei sociale.<\/p>\n<p>IMM-urile declar\u0103 c\u0103 \u201enu fac marketing\u201d, \u00eentruc\u00e2t \u00eel asociaz\u0103 cu activit\u0103\u0163i tradi\u0163ionale de promovare. Un astfel de enun\u0163 este \u00een\u015fel\u0103tor, deoarece defini\u0163ia marketingului este incorect \u00een\u0163eleas\u0103. Marketingul vizeaz\u0103 activit\u0103\u0163ile \u015fi procesele prin care se creeaz\u0103, comunic\u0103 \u015fi furnizeaz\u0103 oferte ce au valoare pentru clien\u0163i, parteneri \u015fi societate, \u00een general. \u00cen consecin\u0163\u0103, chiar \u015fi \u00een IMM-uri se desf\u0103\u015foar\u0103 activit\u0103\u0163i de marketing, chiar dac\u0103 nu exist\u0103 departamente specializate ori o delimitare clar\u0103 a rolurilor \u00eentre angaja\u0163i.<\/p>\n<p>Referitor la strategii, mul\u0163i cercet\u0103tori au considerat c\u0103 \u00een IMM-uri nu exist\u0103 o abordare strategic\u0103 \u00eentruc\u00e2t lipse\u015fte un proces de planificare strategic\u0103. \u00cens\u0103 aceasta este o viziune limitat\u0103, dat fiind c\u0103 defini\u0163ia strategiei a evoluat de la abordarea planificat\u0103 la cea emergent\u0103, vizionar\u0103 \u015fi transformativ\u0103.
